My Approach to Doula Training and Certification
At Samsarah Morgan, Doula, I offer comprehensive doula training and certification programs that are designed to meet the unique needs and preferences of aspiring doulas. As an experienced trainer, I provide hands-on instruction, mentorship, and support to help individuals develop the knowledge, skills, and confidence they need to succeed as doulas. My doula training and certification programs include:
Workshops and Classes: I offer in-person and online workshops and classes that cover a wide range of topics, including childbirth education, labor support techniques, postpartum care, breastfeeding support, doula ethics and standards of practice, and business development.
Hands-On Experience: My doula training programs include opportunities for hands-on experience working with clients under the supervision of experienced mentors. This hands-on experience allows aspiring doulas to apply their knowledge and skills in real-life birth settings and gain confidence in their abilities as birth professionals.
Mentorship and Support: I provide ongoing mentorship and support to our doula trainees throughout their training and certification process. I am available to answer questions, provide guidance, and offer support as trainees progress through their training program and begin their doula careers.
Certification: Upon completion of my doula training program, trainees will have the opportunity to become certified doulas through our certification process. My certification process includes completing required coursework, attending births, submitting case studies, and passing a certification exam to demonstrate competency as a doula.
Continuing Education: I offer continuing education opportunities for certified doulas to stay up-to-date on the latest research, techniques, and best practices in the field of birth support. My continuing education programs include advanced workshops, conferences, and online courses to help doulas further develop their skills and knowledge.
